ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Computational Pathology is transforming modern diagnostics by integrating traditional pathology with cutting-edge digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and advanced data analytics. The combination of high-resolution imaging, machine learning algorithms, and cloud-based data management is enabling more accurate, efficient, and reproducible diagnoses, particularly in cancer and other complex diseases. This one-day workshop aims to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the current landscape, clinical applications, and future directions of computational pathology, highlighting how digital workflows and AI are reshaping routine practice.

The workshop will explore the practical and technical challenges of implementing computational pathology in both research and clinical settings, as well as the evolving role of pathology in shaping the future of diagnostics. Participants will gain insights into the process of digitizing pathology laboratories, learn from international developments in AI-supported cancer diagnostics, and understand the integration of computational approaches from a pathologist’s perspective. The day will conclude with an expert panel discussion on the road ahead for digital and computational pathology, highlighting collaborative opportunities, emerging trends, and strategies for adopting AI-driven diagnostic tools in routine practice.
